The 5 Biggest Mistakes In College Admissions Essays Our students often tell us that attending CLC far exceeded their expectations. Rice University awards transfer credit for International Baccalaureate examinations for students who hold the International Baccalaureate Diploma and have obtained a score of 6 or 7 on higher level exams. Through this joint effort we seek to enroll underrepresented students of high-achievement that desire to work in healthcare and represent the diverse communities in which they serve. Rice and Baylor College of Medicine select a limited number of first-year students each year to pursue a four-year bachelor's degree at Rice, followed by conditional admission to Baylor College of Medicine. Students wishing to provide additional exams for admission consideration are welcome to submit these to our office. These exams are purely optional and at the discretion of the students to submit. We want students to have every opportunity to showcase their strengths and academic achievements where possible. And our students also rave about the many opportunities to become involved on campus. We offer exactly the same major subjects, and the same quality, as a four-year university or career preparation school, but for far less money. The Center for Academic Achievement provides programs and services to help students achieve their academic goals. This will give the student additional time to submit higher test scores or other information as described in our communication to them. As your child embarks on the college selection process, we encourage you to become involved and learn about the academic experiences and opportunities that await your new FGCU Eagle. The admissions section provides details on fees, financial aid/scholarshipsand steps needed to get started on the right path. All students admitted as freshmen or transfers must satisfy the foreign language admission requirement. A limited number of undergraduate students not meeting this requirement may be admitted; however, these students must fulfill the requirement prior to completion of the baccalaureate degree. Tuition and fees at each institution within the State University System of Florida are set by the Florida Legislature upon recommendation by the State Board of Governors. Parking permits are required for all students who bring a vehicle to campus and may be obtained from FGCU Parking Services. Clubs and organizations are a great way for students to make new friends and get involved. Enrolled students are charged tuition and fees based on their residency classification as either Florida resident or non-Florida resident. Those classified as Florida residents pay less in fees per credit hour than do those classified as non-Florida residents. Current FGCU students, classified as non-Florida residents, who seek reclassification must contact the Office of the Registrar. The weighted, or district, GPA reported on your high school transcript will be used in the admissions review process. If your school does not provide a weighted GPA, then one will be calculated using the grades in the courses above. The decision comes following guidance by the University System of Georgia in response to the cancellation of spring SAT and ACT testing dates. Prospective first-year students must meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum and all other requested documentation.
